1. BUILDING CONNECTIONS AND COLLABORATION
1.5. Social Media Etiquette
According to research data from CVbankas.lt approximately 70% of employees currently search for information about employers or clients online, compared to 45% a few years ago. Employees also believe that some employers seek information about current or potential employees online. Over the past two years, this belief has grown—currently, 35% of employees state that they know for sure that employers research them online, and another 48% think that some employers do so occasionally.
The study highlights that about 80% of employees now restrict what they share on social media, compared to 50% two years ago. It is time to move away from the perception that social media is purely for personal entertainment where one can post or share any content.
Positive information to share:
Be mindful and respectful when commenting on posts or photos. Avoid offensive remarks – if unsure, it’s better to refrain from commenting altogether.
In essence, adhering to digital etiquette is crucial. Positive and professional online behavior reflects well on one’s character and reputation in the digital age.
